talking to kashi yesterday i realized i am getting the impression some of the students aren't interested in study, they just want to get through the course and get the obligatory bit of paper at the end.

which doesn't mean I should only cater for that level, but i need to have success options for people who may not be such autotelic learners.
but i also dearly want to keep it at a level that actually speaks to those who really are interested in thinking and exploring the field in Engslish./

somehow vary the choice of tasks more? or just be clear it will reflect in the grades, the difference between a c and an a?
